Refunds & Returns Policy

Overview

Every Memory Bear and keepsake I make is lovingly handmade to order, using your personal garments or fabrics. Because each piece is completely unique and custom-made, I cannot accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind or customisation preferences once work has started.

That said, I want you to feel confident ordering from me, so if something’s not right or arrives damaged, please reach out. I’ll always do my best to resolve it quickly and fairly.

 

Eligibility for Refunds or Replacements

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you’re entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if an item you receive is:

  • Faulty or damaged on arrival,

  • Not as described on the website or agreed upon in writing, or

  • Not made with the reasonable level of care and skill expected of a handmade product.

If this happens, please contact me within 14 days of delivery, including your order number and clear photos of the issue.

 

Custom-Made & Personalised Items

Because every Memory Bear, animal, or keepsake is made using clothing you provide, returns are not available for:

  • Change of mind,

  • Incorrect details or embroidery text provided by the customer,

  • Variations in fabric placement, colour tone, or layout (these are part of each bear’s unique handmade charm), or

  • Normal wear and tear over time.

 

Shipping Damage or Lost Parcels

All orders are carefully packaged and sent via Australia Post with tracking. Once an item is posted, it becomes the responsibility of the postal service.
If a parcel arrives damaged or appears lost, please contact me as soon as possible. I’ll help you lodge a claim with Australia Post and work to find the best resolution.

 

Workshops & Class Bookings

Refunds for sewing workshops are handled separately:

  • Full refunds are available if cancellation occurs at least 14 days before the class start date.

  • If you cancel within 7–13 days, you’ll receive a 50% refund or a credit toward a future class.

  • Cancellations within 7 days of the class are non-refundable, as materials and venue costs have already been arranged.

  • If I ever need to cancel or reschedule a class (for example, due to illness or low numbers), you’ll receive a full refund or reschedule option, whichever you prefer.

 

How to Request a Refund or Report an Issue

Include:

  • Your full name,

  • Order number (or workshop date),

  • Description of the issue, and

  • Clear photos if applicable.

I’ll respond within five business days with next steps or a resolution.

 

Shipping Costs on Returns

If a return or replacement is approved due to an error on my part or a manufacturing issue, Creatively Quirky will cover the return shipping costs.
If the issue arises from incorrect information or customer error, return postage will be at the customer’s expense.

 

Final Note

Every order is made with care, respect, and attention to detail, often using deeply sentimental items. I truly appreciate your trust and promise to treat your garments and keepsakes with the utmost care from start to finish.
